Communication students suffered from minor subject that related to design studies. In my opinion instead of design I prefer to make practical classes and apply what we have study in the lectures. Also, design assignments and projects put communication students under pressure because of the amount of these assignments and less experiences of most of communication students in design. I think minor design for communication students didn't succeed or achieved its goals and I expect some changing coming for students of 2006 to choose another minor for communication students. In my point of view, communication students need some practical lectures to apply what they have studied in their classes. I made a questionnaire and I found that some students escape from the minor design and choose business as a minor they told me that the reason is they don’t want to study something not related to their major and they think that business and communication are related to each other because everything now deal with business.

On the other hand, design students suffer from the minor which is communication because they want to study something related to design and they consider that communication is not helpful for their major. I think that they don’t need to study communication as a minor because they need extra classes for design only to have much time and concentrate on design only. Actually, I discussed about this topic with some design students and I observed that most of them are uncomfortable with the minor because they complain from the assignments and the exams of the minor and it put them under pressure. I think that the administration of Applied Science Colleges should distribute a questionnaire for the students to know their desires and choose the minors according to these results.
